01 Trimming

Heavy or overgrown limbs cut back. Sometimes part of a tree can be kept instead of taken down.

02 Limbs over the house

A limb over the roof, the fence or the driveway is cut in short pieces. Each piece comes down on a rope, not in a free fall.

03 Tree removal

One tree or several. Tall trees are climbed and taken apart from the top down. Where there's open ground, a tree can be felled whole and cut into rounds.

04 Cleanup

How it's done

Close to the house

Most yard trees stand close to something: a roof, a fence, a car, the neighbor's shed. So a climber ties in near the top and takes the tree down in sections. Each one is lowered on a rope.
